The Villa Patriot's interior combines history with modern art. Every detail here has a purpose - and the most striking is the light that transforms the space into an experience. Bespoke design lighting fixtures from the Czech company Aldit give the hotel its character, subtlety and unmistakable atmosphere.
Falling Leaves of Light
Upon entering the hotel, guests are immediately struck by the lighting of the entrance staircase, which looks like a poetic installation of the autumn sky. Dozens of hand-blown glass elements, suspended on thin threads, evoke November's falling leaves - only instead of natural colours, there are subtle pastel shades of white, pearl and gold.
This luminous object creates the illusion of movement and lightness, while at the same time giving a warm and welcoming impression. The light bounces off the walls and gives the impression that the space is breathing. The entrance staircase becomes more than just a way into the hotel - it is an experience that welcomes every guest with a touch of elegance.
Vertical sculpture of light
The second dominant element of the interior is an impressive light fixture suspended over all three floors, which decorates the centre of the spiral staircase. This work acts as a light sculpture that connects the different floors of the hotel into a single harmonious whole.
The combination of glass and metal, typical of Aldit, creates an impressive contrast: fragility and strength, light and structure, art and technique. From every angle, it looks different - from the ground floor like a starry spiral, from the upper floor like an elegant stream of light that reaches down to the ground.
Aldit's Czech signature
Aldit is a Czech family company with roots in the heart of the Crystal Valley in Lučany nad Nisou. For more than thirty years it has been combining traditional glassmaking craftsmanship with modern design and technology.
